Mahangu Weerasinghe
Mahangu is a recent graduate of the University of Kelaniya whose research interests include second language
acquisition, language policy and planning, and Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL). An English as a Second
Language (ESL) teacher, his long-term goal is to teach English creatively and effectively, and to make language
teaching in Sri Lanka more relevant to the student of today.

Code
- Upstream, a log aggregator and report tool written
in Python. Evolving from a simple bash script to a multi-developer project with QT, GTK and Curses frontends,
Upstream was Mahangu's summer 2006 project. You can get a svn snapshot or try the debian package if you'd like to poke around.
- Taprobane, a GNU/Linux Live CD distro based on Debian. Focusing on Sinhala
support, and an easy Live CD build system, the distro aims to make GNU/Linux accessible to more people within Sri
Lanka.
